It’s also the place to go if you need help from the PPA community, and the other members are more than happy to help. Here are some of the top conversations this month!

Alternatives to Zenfolio

This looper is trying to find the best alternative to Zenfolio that meets all of their requirements. They are currently looking for an e-commerce platform that will allow them to have unlimited space to upload their photos, the ability to set their own pricing for their work and most importantly a reasonable cost for the website.  A bunch of members have already pitched their recommendations. If you have any advice, don't hesitate to offer it!

When a Brand Asks to Use Your Instagram Photos

Working out an agreement between how a brand can use your images and how they will reimburse you can be a sticky situation. This especially becomes a problem when the company your working with oversteps their boundaries with the content you give to them. This looper has noticed that the brand they are giving their photos to has used them in more ways than had been initially agreed to. They are not okay with this, and they want to find the best way to renegotiate the terms of their agreement. Help her figure out what to do in this situation!

Customer Help (Wedding related)

Photographers have to bridge the gap between their vision and their client’s expectations, but this looper is facing some issues. The client hasn’t even seen the photos yet, but she is unhappy with the position of the second photographer during the shoot at her wedding. The client expected the second photographer to cover more angles during the shoot, and the primary photographer felt as though they did this. How should the photographer reassure her client on the quality of the photos as they work to finish editing them? Leave your responses on this thread!

Volunteer Work and Equipment Insurance

No one wants their equipmentment to be damaged during a shoot, especially not this looper. In preparation for her photoshoot, she is trying to figure out what kind of insurance or contract she should form with the school she is volunteering with. Can she even create a contract if she isn’t being paid for her services? These are the questions this looper desperately needs answered. Jump over to the loop to answer the tread. Any advice helps!

Marketing Agency Requesting High Quality Images for Ad Concepts. Is This Normal?

Is it the norm for a marketing agency to ask for high quality images for ad concepts?

This Looper is desperate to know if he should follow the wishes of the marketing agency or send over low res photos for the ad concepts. He is currently in the brainstorming portion with his client and doesn’t know what he should do! Head over to the thread and let him know what you think!
