How to Succeed in the High School Senior Photography Business

When you have a young, self-conscious client aiming to make a memory as they move from one phase of life to another, you want to ensure you capture their uniqueness.

Maria Moore, M.Photog., CPP, has found success by making high school seniors' sessions as unique as the photographs she captures. Her business strategy is centered around the understanding of what makes teenagers tick, and Moore also ensures her sessions are standard but enjoyable.

"I believe that the senior session should not be just a portrait session," she says. "We try to create an environment that will be something they remember way beyond their portraits."
