Tragically, PPA member Katie Jiminez, M.Photog.Cr., passed away last week, just days after receiving her Master of Photography degree at Imaging USA in Nashville. Katie was a beloved friend and mentor and a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed. PPA extends our condolences to her friends and family in Georgia and everywhere her light touched.

Mrs. Katharine "Katie" Anne Jiminez, 51, joined the heavenly choir of angels on Friday, January 26, 2018, after complications from the flu.
Katie graduated from the University of Georgia and earned a teaching certification from Augusta State University. After teaching, Katie went on to earn her Master of Photography Degree and Photographic Craftsman Degree from the Professional Photographers of America. She also earned the Georgia Service Degree from the Georgia Professional Photographers Association.
Katie is survived by her husband of 25 years: Kevin Jiminez; mother: Edna Roper; stepfather: David Roper; sisters: Kristi Rowan (Roger), Karin Barker (Jerry), and Phyllis Nelson; brother: Robert John Nelson; mother-in-law: Joy Jiminez; and brothers-in-law: Robert Jiminez, Mark Jiminez (Beau), Jean Jiminez, and Bill Jiminez (Marcia).
