The reason I became certified is I wanted a way to stand out in my community amongst the competition. Certification allowed me to advertise that I am professionally trained and acknowledged by my peers as one of the best in my craft. The CPP process improved my photography skills 10 fold. It allowed me to master the technical skills I needed behind the lens to produce the images that I wanted for my clients.
This is one of the best things to do to advance your craft. Knowing that your work meets a standard within the professional photography community gives you the confidence you need to charge your worth and helps remove the imposter syndrome that all artists have.
