Call for Instructors: Give Back by Teaching a Photography Workshop

Calling all experienced photographers! Share your knowledge and expertise by volunteering as an instructor for a PPA Photography Workshop. These workshops offer a unique opportunity for peer-to-peer education, allowing you to expand your professional network and contribute to the PPA community. It's a fantastic way to help fellow photographers gain a deeper understanding of a topic you're passionate about while enhancing your own expertise.

PPA's Fall Photography Workshops are designed to cater to the educational needs of photographers at any level. Topics covered include posing, lighting, digital retouching, sales, and marketing strategies. These bi-annual learning extravaganzas are taught by professional photographers like you, exclusively for other professionals in the field. By teaching a workshop, you become an essential part of fostering a skilled and united photographic industry. After all, the PPA community thrives on the principle of mutual learning and growth.

Here are the benefits you'll receive as a Photography Workshop instructor:

  • Earn 2 speaking merits per workshop taught (maximum of two per PPA Workshop season).
  • Network and connect with other photographers in your area.
  • Enhance your own knowledge on the topic you teach.
  • Earn $50 per attendee when you have 8 or more participants and possess a PPA degree/certification. (Please note that instructors must hold a PPA degree or certification to qualify for payment.)

While this opportunity is voluntary, it is crucial that all workshops provide an authentic and dynamic educational experience. The Fall Workshops are scheduled to take place from September 2-16. Applications for Workshop instructors are now open and will be accepted until July 18.
