A Video Guide to Photo Competitions

If you haven’t yet participated in PPA’s International Photographic Competition (IPC), you may have wondered what it’s all about. That’s why PPA produced a 16-minute documentary, “The Life of a Merit Image,” which gives viewers a taste of the competition by following three photographers in their IPC journey from image creation to submission and judging.

A lot of myths surround photo competition, and this documentary shows just how NOT scary these competitions really are! PPA photographic competitions are a great way to improve your photography and earn merits toward your photographic degree. Clients want photographers who are pushing themselves to be more, and IPC is one way for you to do just that.

Check out “The Life of a Merit Image” now and get ready to stream the IPC judging, August 5-8, at stream.theipc.org.
