PPA Bids Adieu to Longtime Director of Sales and Strategic Alliances

ATLANTA, March 10, 2011—Professional Photographers of America (PPA) announced today that one of its key team members will be moving on. Scott Hersh, PPA’s Director of Sales and Strategic Alliances, is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

“Scott has been an important part of what we have accomplished at PPA,” comments CEO David Trust. “We are bigger, faster and stronger in every way—and he was a key voice on staff during all the changes in the last 10 years.  Just as importantly, he has been and continues to be a good friend. We certainly wish him the very best and know that he will be successful in whatever he chooses to do next.”

Hersh has served as the Director of Sales and Strategic Alliances since the position was first created in 2003. He originally joined PPA staff in January 1991 as a salesman in the Publications Department. Since that time, PPA has moved from Chicago to Atlanta, restructured every aspect of the organization, and posted numerous records for growth and sales.

As PPA’s operations have become more comprehensive and dynamic, it has become more important that the sales director position be located at PPA Headquarters in Atlanta. Hersh lives with his family in Pennsylvania and, because of family obligations, chose not to make the move south.

“I will forever be thankful for my experiences at PPA,” adds Hersh. “We did great things together, and I am sure they will continue to lead the way in the photographic industry. As for me, I look forward to new challenges and making a difference in a new environment.”

PPA will begin its search for a new Director of Sales and Strategic Alliances immediately. In the meantime, vendors can continue to work with their regional sales representatives as usual.  The contact information follows:
