Hot Products for Pro Photographers, Judged and Chosen by Pro Photographers

ATLANTA—When you look for any new product or service, it is always smart to consider others’ experiences with such items. That is one reason why the 2010 Professional Photographer Hot One Award winners have such draw. These 57 photographic products rose above a crowd of 260 entries from 122 companies, representing photography’s best new products for professional application…as chosen by actual photographers.

“The winners of the 2010 Hot One Awards represent ‘the pro’s choice’ of new photographic products,” says Jeff Kent, Hot One Awards editor for Professional Photographer. “This isn’t some scientific analysis conducted by a bunch of clinicians in lab coats, but a poll of real pros working in the real world. The result is a list of worthy winners that help make professional photography easier, more creative and more efficient.”

For the past 11 years, the Hot One Awards have provided Professional Photographer magazine’s readership with a resource of the newest, most innovative products available in a variety of price ranges. And who wouldn’t want a resource compiled by independent, practicing professional photographers, selected for their expertise and knowledge? This year’s independent panel of 52 judges voted on products that ranged from albums to lenses and portable hard drives and displays. They made their selections based on overall quality, innovation, design, performance and value for the price.
