Today is the official first day of fall in the northern hemisphere, so why don't you fall back in love with photography (see what we did, there?) while reading some of the top blog posts in the photography industry this week!

WORKFLOW: Auto-stacking in Lightroom can quickly organize a huge set of images in to more manageable 'stacks', which are images tightly grouped according to their capture time. This 6-minute video on PetaPixel shows how you can use the feature to speed up your workflow.

LIGHTING: Check out this article on Fstoppers for some tips on transforming a boring, badly-lit room with a simple, portable lighting setup. You'd never know it was a conference room!

STYLE: To underexpose or not to underexpose: that is the question. This Fstoppers article seeks to answer it, with tons of sliding-scale before-and-after shots!

EDUCATION: Online registration is now open through September 28 for Super 1 Day, October 2-16, when dozens of studios across the country will host all day, peer-to-peer education workshops that enhance skills and help photographers build a better business. Book your classes today!

HOW-TO: DPreview has a great video that explores four common composition mistakes many photographers make and how to fix them. Each tip is accompanied by a very useful "do this, not that" before and after, and will help you banish those mistakes once and for all!

COPYRIGHT: You may be interested in the new image-copyright registration system recently launched by photo protection company ImageRights International. Anyone can use it, not just subscribers, and the company offers both a Lightroom plugin and a website-based registration tool that streamlines registrations, including automatically checking for errors and filling in forms. DPreview has more details.

FREEBIES: This article from Fstoppers delves into pricing strategy, imposter syndrome, and setting proper expectations in order to sustain your business and the photography industry.

CONFERENCE: Imaging USA in Nashville is right around the corner, January 14-16, 2018, but there are a few ways to save money if you get started NOW! PPA Today offers this list of tips that will ensure you show up in Tennessee with even more spending money!

SOFTWARE: If you've been asking your clients to do selects from Lightroom on the Web, you know that historically they needed to have an Adobe ID first. But now they can authenticate using either Facebook or Google, making the process much simpler for everyone. PetaPixel has more details on the good news.

TECH: Adobe is so ubiquitous in many photographers' studios, it's practically an employee... which would explain the record-breaking revenue Adobe has announced for the fiscal quarter that ended on September 1, 2017. DPreview has the story.

There you have 'em, our weekly blog post roundup! What photography blogs or podcasts do YOU follow? Post your favorites on theLoop or email them to us at OnlineContentCommittee@PPA.com.
