Success Without Specializing
Interested in photography since she was a child, Lee first got the idea to turn her hobby into a business while shooting her daughter's equestrian events. "People began asking if they could purchase my photos and so it began," she says.
"Against most logic, I have not specialized. I feel this keeps my photography fresh and exciting," Lee adds. "I love learning new things and if I saw an amazing layout for a maternity session--but only did weddings--I would be so bummed."
And since going full time in 2005, she has established a wide client base partially thanks to her unique marketing and advertising ideas.
Teaching Marketing Success to You
How effective are Lee's marketing and advertising ideas? Her business has survived a move to South Carolina without struggling to stay alive!
"Since I had such a strong business model, I was able to pick it up without really missing a beat," she says. Sound like something you'd like to cultivate in your own photography?
