See the City of Atlanta at Imaging USA 2016

By Aleighia Rouse

With Imaging USA only 12 weeks away, the excitement is rising! Have you decided on the places that you want to visit when you arrive? Atlanta is home to some of the most historical and exciting attractions in the south. Here are a few suggestions from PPA's recommended list of Atlanta attractions:

This beautiful public park was built in 1996 and sits right in the center of other great attractions--Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola and many others. Enjoy the everyday treat of the Fountain of Rings show, which fires up 4 times a day, or enjoy the Holiday in Lights decorations that will still be dressing the park with holiday cheer!

This center is an engaging cultural attraction that creates a safe atmosphere to discover the fundamental rights of all human beings. Visitors will feel inspired and empowered learning about the connectivity between the American Civil Rights Movement and today's global and human rights movements.

This is for the super football fanatics out there to learn how some of the most prominent and famous football players got their start. Want to test your skills on the 45-yard football field or get a behind the scenes look at game day, check out this cool attraction.

The CNN center is not only a wonderful tourist attraction but also houses the global headquarters of CNN! Jump into the news first hand with the Inside of CNN Studio Tour, a behind-the-scenes look at the news network. Make sure to put reservations in ahead of time.

World of Coke is a museum dedicated to the all American beverage of Coca-Cola. Check out their tours, see how the product is made, and view a film in the 4-D theater. You can also see how Coca-Cola is bottled, and taste the different Coke flavors from around the world! At the end of the tour you even receive a special treat, your very own free glass of Coca-Cola!

Come and hear the story of Martin Luther King Jr.'s life, starting at the home of his birth and where he played as a child. This tour is a truly authentic experience, run by the National Park Service. Walk in his footsteps and hear his voice at the historical church where he motivated and inspired the hearts and minds of people in his pursuit for social change.

Take a ride on this 200 foot tall Ferris wheel, providing a beautiful panoramic view of downtown Atlanta 20 stories over Centennial Park. Upgrade to the VIP booth, complete with television and other amenities for the ultimate Ferris wheel experience.
