Lowepro Announces New S&F Series

|
Lowepro, the leading brand of protective gear for photography equipment and portable electronics, has unveiled its redesigned S&Fâ„¢ Series, a modular carrying system for professional photographers that was designed to optimize workflow and help them meet the growing demand for multimedia content.

The foundation of the system includes the S&F Deluxe Technical Belt, S&F Light Utility Belt, S&F Technical Vest and S&F Technical Harness.  When either belt is worn in tandem with the vest or harness, a photographer gains the ability to comfortably carry a heavy load while quickly accessing gear and adapting to fast-changing scenarios. While all components are available individually, Lowepro is offering suggested component bundles for event photographers, multimedia photo journalists and sports photographers which combine the core workflow-saving elements for these popular photographic disciplines.
With the S&F series event photographers may choose the lightweight and comfortable S&F Technical Vest or Deluxe Technical Belt to pair with the Lens Exchange Case, for swapping lenses one-handed, the spring-loaded Quick Flex Pouch to secure an external flash unit and the versatile Utility Bag for necessary additions. In combination, these components provide the quick access event photographers require, along with the all-day comfort demanded by the arduous nature of event shoots.

Multimedia photojournalists require true versatility in their workflow to allow them to seamlessly move from still, to video, to sound recording. The S&F accommodates these varying needs by combining the Technical Harness and Light Utility Belt as a base for the gear-organizing Audio Utility Bag which accommodates a small boom microphone and special loop to dangle headphones, the Lens Exchange Case and stylish Phone Case.

Sports photographers need to be nimble and able to react to the fast-paced sports environment while carrying long lenses on a monopod or tripod. These shooters will benefit from the trim Light Utility Belt and its stabilizing shoulder strap, with the Slim Lens Pouch for an added mid-range zoom, modular Utility Bag for audio gear or added accessories and the additional Bottle Pouch for hydration.

First launched 12 years ago as Street and Fieldâ„¢, this modular carrying system remains flexible for a variety of shooting and recording scenarios. To ensure a secure fit for each component the S&F Series employs Lowepro's SlipLockâ„¢ system of attachment tabs and loops for adding and subtracting a wide array of compatible bags, cases and pouches.

"Our S&F Series begins with a core item like a belt, vest or harness--a photographer then chooses the right set-up for his or her work style and shooting location," said Treg Tyler, Lowepro worldwide marketing director. "Our designers outdid themselves in the development of this flexible and versatile modular carrying system, addressing a myriad of pro photographer needs. Photo journalists on deadline can drop a Wi-fi connected laptop into the S&F Utility Backpack 100 AW and tether their camera to the laptop through our Technical Harness. Shooters that plan multiple lens changes can use our inventive S&F Lens Exchange Case 200 AW to make it happen one-handed so you don't miss that critical shot," he added.

The S&F Series offers a myriad of components that provide unlimited combinations to specifically meet unique needs of each photographer. The series includes:

S&F Lens Exchange Case 200 AW features a patent-pending function that allows the user to change out a lens with one hand, increasing ease and speed of operation.

S&F Audio Utility Bag 100 provides a modular, organized and flexible solution for photographers and videographers who carry audio gear.

S&F Laptop Utility Backpack 100 AW carries a laptop and essentials on an assignment; use it "wired" to transmit images on-the-go.

S&F Deluxe Technical Belt provides a multitude of ways to organize and carry gear; it's compatible with the harness and vest.

S&F Light Utility Belt is constructed of removable segments to size up or size down; includes a detachable shoulder strap and cable ports.

S&F Technical Vest provides a comfortable, tailored fit and supports a heavy load at the waist when paired with either compatible belt.

S&F Technical Harness
relieves a heavy load when worn with either compatible belt; converts to a backpack when paired with a shoulder bag.

S&F Phone Case 20 is designed to fit and protect most smartphones--especially those with the capability to geotag important locations.

S&F Memory Wallet 20
fits up to 12 CF or SD cards; opens like a book and easily secures to a belt loop or key chain.

S&F Bottle Pouch provides a snug fit for a water bottle or canteen (not included) and keeps hydration close at hand.

S&F Quick Flex Pouches (55 AW & 75 AW)
allow quick access to a flash, radio or other medium-sized accessory; includes an All Weather AW Cover.

S&F Utility Bag 100 AW
provides versatile storage space for photography and audio gear such as camera bodies, binoculars, mixing units, batteries, etc.

S&F Filter Pouch 100
is designed to protect and organize up to 10 large rectangular or square format filters; includes a color-tipped dividing system.

S&F Slim Lens Pouches (55 AW & 75 AW)
offer freedom of movement while wearing and a lean profile when collapsing to pack in a larger bag.

S&F Transport Duffle Backpack
is sized to easily carry a complete, work-ready S&F kit to a location.
