What is your life motto? From Mindsets to Milestones. One step at a time. Keep grinding. Keep smiling. Help others rise. Be eternally grateful.
What do you most value in your friends? Honesty, Loyalty, Positivity, Absence of drama.
What is your most treasured possession? My images, representing a life well lived. Precious memories.
Coke or Pepsi? Coke
What has been your proudest moment? Multiple: when each of my children were born.
If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? Rid the world of hatred.
Why do you love photography? 1. Capturing precious moments in time for myself and others. 2. Telling stories without words. 3. Learning to see differently. 4. Learning & evolving. 5. It was my dream since childhood to be a photographer. 6. Because this is how I provided for my family for four decades. Blessed.
Most embarrassing moment? A sales presentation to 12 PTA moms. I was 26 years young, relaxed and on a roll. Showing samples, demonstrating technique, all the good stuff. When I got to the car I noticed that my fly was wide open! Oh well. Got the account! To this day, I always double check.
What would be your advice for photographers who are just starting their career? When interacting with clients, ask yourself, "What do I want them to know, What do I want them to feel, What do I want them to do???" With those answers in hand move forward enthusiastically! And in the process, find out what they want you to know, and what they want you to do for them. The rest is just execution.
