PPA Charities and Operation Smile Celebration Event at Imaging USA
The annual gala to benefit PPA Charities and Operation Smile will be held just prior to Imaging USA (www.ImagingUSA.org) on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Corte Real Room on the 22nd Floor of the Hilton Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. The event will include a VIP reception from 8:00 pm until 9:00 pm, followed by an open auction and celebration from 9:00 pm until midnight.
The required $25 ticket for the VIP reception includes a preview of items in the evening’s silent and live auctions, hors d’oeuvres, entry into a special prize drawing, and preferred seating for the premiere of the new PPA Legends series.
PPA Charities’ Celebration Event will be open to everyone at no charge beginning at 9:00 pm, and will feature silent and live auctions with items such as photographic equipment, fine art images, and sports and rock & roll memorabilia. Guests will also enjoy a program by well-known photographer Hanson Fong, who will kick-off the new PPA Legends series with a tribute to the late Rocky Gunn. Fong’s stunning audiovisual program shows how Gunn influenced Fong’s work and features images created by them both. The celebration will conclude when Mary Fisk-Taylor, President of PPA Charities, presents a contribution to their selected charity, Operation Smile.
Tickets are limited for this event; contact PPA’s Customer Service Center at 800.786.6277 for tickets, or order when you register online for Imaging USA. PPA Charities can be reached at bbehnke@ppa.com, or call 800-339-5451, ext. 265.
About PPA Charities:
PPA Charities is a charitable, non-profit,
501(c)(3) organization dedicated to reaching out and touching the lives
of children in need. It allows imaging professionals to combine their
individual efforts to make an impact on the lives of children and
families everywhere. In addition to pooling the resources of individual
photographers, PPA Charities is a perpetual fund. The majority of
donations to the foundation are invested; the profits from these
investments are then given to various children's charities. This
strategy will allow PPA Charities to grow each year, giving us the
opportunity to become increasingly effective at helping others while
promoting our profession. (http://charities.ppa.com)

deformities while building public and private partnerships that

was founded in 1982 by Dr. William P. Magee Jr., a plastic surgeon, and
his wife, Kathleen S. Magee, a nurse and clinical social worker. Since
its inception, Operation Smile's volunteers have provided free
reconstructive surgery to more than 100,000 children and young adults
and have trained thousands of healthcare professionals globally. (http://www.operationsmile.org.)
