Professional Photographers of America Offering Join Incentives in July

July 16, 2014

New members can choose from three gifts

ATLANTA, Ga. – The world's largest photography association continues to grow as it rolls out its latest membership incentives.

This month, photographers who join Professional Photographers of America (PPA) can choose one of three gifts to go along with their new membership. The gifts include the Flat Box FB speedlight modifier and MBS Microbox Kit softbox modifier from XP PhotoGear, Lensbaby Spark lens and an Epiphanie Clover camera bag. Each gift is valued near or well above $100.

"These are some of the best gifts we've ever offered," said Kristen Hartman, director of member value and experience. "It's great to be able to actually put something in a new member's hands when they join; especially when they are items photographers crave. It's our way of welcoming new members to the PPA family."

The gift comes in addition to PPA's many membership benefits. These include up to $15,000 of equipment insurance and malpractice protection from negligence and data loss. There's also PPAedu, the personalized online learning platform with over 250 videos available 24/7, copyright and contract assistance and much more.

As a non-profit, PPA provides these services to help photographers grow profitable and sustainable businesses.

"PPA exists to help photographers be more, through continued education, image competition, our massive network and other membership perks," said Hartman. "We've been able to freeze membership dues for nearly a decade because we are that dedicated to seeing our members thrive. Members consistently prove that they are able to earn more money thanks to their membership."

A $323 professional active membership equates to $27.92 per month. During their first year of membership, PPA also fully waives the registration fee to Imaging USA, giving members a free all-access pass to the country's longest standing photography convention and expo in the US. This gift program runs through July 30.
