James Adams, M.Photog.Cr., CPP, Russell Foote
It's lighting, it's posing, it's portraiture; it's about building a story through a series of portraits. We'll start with a model, and the basics of a scenario. From there, we'll build a story through a sequence of portraits, building on a theme that we'll design on the fly. Our model for the day has a theatrical performance background, who will be limited only by our collective creativity. What you'll experience is the practice of building a story that will be enhanced by lighting design, posing, and direction. The group will be a collective design team that will be charged with coming up with an idea, then making it come to life to be captured by the camera. Our studio is somewhat of a playground with backdrops, lights, modifiers, props, and a creative atmosphere. This is not your ordinary portrait workshop. Prepare to stretch your creative energy. This workshop is for intermediate to advanced photographers. Familiarity with studio gear is a plus, but not absolutely required.
