Jim Garner (bio) Sponsored by: GraphiStudio
The "Experiential Style:" A Fresh Approach to Wedding Photography
What is it that makes certain people’s work award-winning? And what is it about Jim Garner’s photography and design that continues to bring him awards and recognition as one of the leading wedding photographers in the world? Maybe it’s simpler and more approachable than you think—Jim will prove it to you in this remarkable program. Jim Garner, who studied the style of photographers from around the world, has developed his own unique style and approach for influencing the way his weddings unfold in the Pacific Northwest. By concerning himself primarily with the actual experience a couple has on their wedding day, and making the act of capturing the story secondary to this, he has learned to consistently create beautiful stories full of real life, expression and natural moments. By using simple techniques and influencing the actual schedule of the day, the old expression, “when you give a little, it comes back to you tenfold,” has been tested and proven true in this new style and approach.
