Everyone knows that the best clients come through our current clients. That means that word-of-mouth marketing is still the strongest advertising that we can do. (Notice that word-of-mouth marketing is still something you “do”…not something you just sit around and wait for.)

Learn how to retain friendships, remember acquaintances and have them remember you, all for a nominal cost (or even for free)! With the age of computers, our advertising venues have changed.  Unlike your local phone book, social networks help grow your clientele from local to international with just a few clicks and a few minutes a day. Leslie will guide you through setting up a personal Facebook page as well as a business page and will teach you how to make the most of them. She will also touch on other networking sites, offering advice on which ones to invest your time in and which to stay away from.

About Leslie Ann Kitten
In June 2002, Leslie Ann Kitten, CPP, was asked to photograph a wedding for $100. Thus was the birth of Savant Photography. Since then, Leslie has grown her business and managed to double her profits each year, and what began in a spare bedroom of her home has grown into a small studio with expansion in the immediate future.

Believing in the value of a strong community, Leslie dedicates countless hours to helping others.  She photographs children who have struggled to be adopted and for countless local non-profit organizations…and she has donated her skills to one or two couples in need of wedding photography each year.

Since starting her business, she has received many awards for her photography and philanthropy. Among these are the Nancy Coggins Award, TPPA President’s Theme, ACT Photography First and Second Place, SPPPA Fellowship and numerous other awards. In addition, Savant Photography was named Best of the West for the South Plains in 2010. Also in 2010, Leslie became a Certified Professional Photographer!

Leslie is also very active in associations. She’s served her local photography guild, South Plains Professional Photographers Association, as secretary, vice president, president and, currently, as the chairman of the board.  Leslie also participates in and is a member of Professional Women’s Resource Group, Association of Women in Communications, Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and serves as a member of the board for many other organizations.

Leslie graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Interior Design and Architecture and a Master’s in Agricultural Communications, specializing in photography. In 2004, she earned the Outstanding Master’s Thesis (meaning hers was voted the best thesis in the nation).
