“It all starts, and ends, with family.”

That’s Lori and Dennis Craft’s belief, and Lori is willing to share how she shares this belief with the public…turning them into clients. To her, family portraits are about relationships—the relationships within the family and the relationship that you, the photographer, make with the family.  A portrait photographer’s goal is to become a part of the family, capturing all of the important moments with portraits for them to treasure now and forever.

But to reach that goal, you need clients! That’s why Lori will share how she coordinates the marketing and promotions to compliment Dennis’ style of photography. The studio runs a year-round marketing calendar, and you’re about to get a peek into the promotions that really work for two of their markets: family and children. You’ll learn about the following:

Children’s Portrait Specials

Simply Kids and Simply Kids for Big Kids
Limited Edition Portraits
Quick Takes Seasonal Portraits
Custom Children’s Portraits

Family Promotions
Celebrate the Family
Holiday Card Promotion
Meet Us at the Beach
Field of Dreams

Ready to learn these tried-and-true promotions?  Who knows…this online course might spark your next great idea!

This webinar is for the photographer that wants to understand the dynamics of running a family portrait business.

Lori CraftAbout Lori

Incoming 2011-2012 PPA board member Lori Craft, Cr.Photog., runs a successful portrait studio (Craft Photographic Gallery) in the historic town of Marshall, Mich., with her husband Dennis Craft, M.Photog.Cr.Hon.M.Photog., CPP, API, F-ASP.  Dennis’ artistry includes many photographic areas, while Lori’s talents for the business lie in the marketing and promotional area of the studio.

Craft Photography opened in 1979 in a storefront in downtown Marshall.  In 1988, they renovated a historic home in Marshall as a studio. Then, in 1999, they moved their business and home outside of Marshall on 13 acres of “picture-perfect” property. The charming surroundings compliment the relaxed photography that has become a signature style for the studio.

The Crafts owe much of their success to Dennis’ creative photography, an aggressive marketing plan, and a good relationship with their staff and clients.  The marketing varies from a quarterly newsletter, Limited Edition portraits, and a variety of portrait opportunities to provide business throughout the calendar year.

Lori is willing to share her enthusiasm for the art of creating award-winning images and marrying them with a proven marketing plan. Her goal is to help other photographers achieve success in their own studios. To achieve that goal, she brings a host of experience, ideas and enthusiasm to the table. She will hold nothing back and is willing to share how others can increase their businesses…and have a great time doing it.
