About Gayletta Tompkins

Gayletta Tompkins, M.Photog.Cr., CPP, owns and operates Gayletta’s Photographic Studio & Gallery in her home town of Nederland, Texas. Working out of her house in 1992, Gayletta soon opened her first portrait studio in November 1993. A year later, she doubled the original studio size. And in four years, her studio has grown in gross sales to be among the top 15% in the nation.

Very active in community organizations (as well as photography associations), Gayletta has earned awards like “Small Business Person of the Year” by the Nederland Chamber of Commerce. In addition, she is a member of Professional Photographers Guild of Houston, Guild of Southeast Texas, Texas Professional Photographers, International Photography Hall of Fame and Museum, National Association of Photoshop Professionals, and PPA. She is also the American Society of Photographers' Texas State Rep.

Gayletta’s work has been featured in numerous local, statewide, and nationwide magazines. In addition, she published her first book, “Visions of Love,” n 2005 as a celebration of earning her 2004 Master of Photography degree.
