Traditional Composition & Lighting

Course #OR02

Dwon Guvenir

Amazing images require two things: great composition and lighting. No amount of Adobe Photoshop techniques can fix poor composition or poor lighting. So, join Dwon for a one-day workshop that will teach you the traditional, essential rules of composition and lighting—rules that all photographers need to know to be able to compete in today's world where everyone is a "photographer."

Your hands-on experience will include working with everything from basic light bulbs to off-camera strobes. You’ll also be studying past PPA Loan Collection photographers (including your instructor!) to reinforce the traditional rules of composition and lighting. Those traditional rules are there because they work. You can break the rules, but you better know what they are before you break them! (And if you're going to break one rule, it better be to fulfill another.)

Course Date: October 23, 2011* (Not held on the official Super Monday date.)

Course Hours: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
