    Jen Hillenga

Try to find a woman who likes seeing herself in photos, and you understand your challenge as the photographer. In this class, PPA Instructor Jen Hillenga covers two main elements—posing and lighting—that will ensure your female clients fall in love with their photos!

You’ll first discuss posing; tilts versus turns, creating drama, expressions and working with the lines of your client’s body. Also learn how to talk with and demonstrate to your client so that she’s in her comfort zone as that evokes the best images.

Then get technical as Jen walks you through lighting tips and techniques. Listen and learn as Jen covers:

    • Where to put your light box and what size to use.
    • How to change the lighting style by moving your subject.
    • What, when and why you use reflectors, silver and kicker lights.
    • Working with main light, reflectors and white light as fill lighting.
    • The benefits of soft vs. broad lighting.
