3 Fabulous Ideas to Elevate Your Wedding Photography

  • Instructors:
    Elizabeth Homan

Elizabeth Homan will share with you the three MOST important ideas that will separate YOU from the sea of wedding photographers out there.

    1. Her Lighting—From the posed portraits outdoors and indoors to the candids at the reception, Elizabeth uses a double lighting technique that makes her candids look like studio lighting. She will show you how she never uses her flash ON her camera...ever!
    2. Her Posing—Posing your subjects is extremely important and is directly related to the satisfaction of your brides. In this day of "non-posed" weddings, Elizabeth will show you some fabulous posing ideas that will sell like crazy and not have that "posey" look.
    3. Her Albums—Have a finished product that your brides LOVE! Selling a cd of images to your brides may appeal to the lower end bride, but if you are going after the high end market, they DO NOT want to do the work themselves. Elizabeth will share with you how she creates such award winning and storytelling albums.

We value your feedback and want to know how we can improve. Please share your thoughts about the class here.

Elizabeth has been enjoying her successful Artistic Images portrait studio for the past 20 years, which is now located on 2.5 wooded acres (with a beautiful portrait garden) in San Antonio, Texas. She operates it with her husband, Trey, and three employees who help them live their dream. Known for her artistic portraiture of families, children, high school seniors and weddings, Elizabeth still says family portraiture is her specialty, and her images grace the walls of many distinguished homes. She has won countless awards for her portraiture, including her wedding and portrait albums. In fact, she has 14 Fuji Masterpiece awards, 5 Kodak Gallery awards and numerous Loan Collection images. Her albums have also been selected as among the top 10 albums in PPA.

On a personal note, Elizabeth and Trey have 3 young boys (one with special needs) who keep them busy as well. When they are not at home with the kids or working at the studio, they travel around the country giving seminars to other photographers. They have spoken many times at Imaging USA and are part of Miller's Professional Imaging's Speaker Team. Elizabeth has a passion for photography and hopes to always be able to encourage others!
