For almost 50 years, Tim Kelly has been a professional photographer. His prestigious, collectible brand of portraiture is widely emulated in the industry, and it's no surprise that Kelly has authored two books, published several others and has been included in over 17. His images have been on half a dozen book covers, and he has been profiled in Professional Photographer many times as well as other major publications. A Fellow of the American Society of Photographers, Tim had the privilege of photographing some celebrity clients, but it's truly his knack for making regular customers feel like a star that has made him so successful. Tim's presented at PPA several times, was an original Kodak Mentor and was honored with the Helen K. Yancy Award in 2015. He has received numerous lifetime achievement awards and is a role model, a teacher and of course, an excellent photographer, legendary in our time.
Instructors: Tim KellyTo understand where the photographic industry is today, it’s important to look at our history. The industry has been molded and shaped by countless photographic artists and industry leaders who rewrote the definition of professional photography and motivated thousands of photographers to “Be More”. The Legacy Project is not only a look at our heritage as professional photographers, it also honors those who have given so much of their heart, soul and time to PPA and inspired an entire generation of professional photographers. Hear, in their own words, as these men and women share their insight on the world of the photographic arts, and how their involvement in PPA influenced their own business and the future of professional photography.
