Jerry W. Venz, M.Photog.Cr., CPP
Three-dimensional lighting requires shadows. If you are using equi-distance/angle, equal power lights there are no shadows in your portraits. The number one reason most photographers produce non-three-dimensional portraits, in the studio, is due to the over use of fill. In this class, Jerry will show you how, with careful placement of lights and minimal fill, you can create portraits with depth, drama and, the all-important, three-dimensionality.
This class will take you through: What f-stop to light for, choice of ISO and why, metering on the set, placement of lights from the background forward, lighting patterns and their uses, subject placement—fine tuning the lighting with the pose; and lighting patterns, e.g. short lighting, etc., a CPP requirement! And much more…
