Digital is a wonderful medium but there's true magic in film photography. Capturing it all in camera, the anticipation of waiting for the negative, the thrill of watching the image develop in front of your eyes.

In this class, we'll reconnect with this lost art and discover the joy in film photography.  Meet in Deep Ellum and spend some time shooting 35mm TriX film provided by Kodak (feel free to bring your own film). Then, take a field trip to Photographique for processing. We'll go old school, using metal tanks and reels, so you'll have the opportunity to practice before loading your film. Enjoy lunch while the film is drying and then return to print. With two enlargers at your disposal, you'll be able to use various sizes or bring your own paper (Photographique sells 8x10, 11x14 and 16x20 paper).

Enhance your abilities, increase your talents, experience the history of your craft – it's all here!
