Kiawah Island is a photographer's dream- whether shooting landscapes, wildlife or on location portraits. In this course, you will spend a magical day exploring some of the best the island has to offer.

Start by receiving a specially marked map with highlighted areas of interest to shoot. Discuss the equipment that works best for each type of shoot with a special focus on portability of equipment, especially for this type of day.

And, you won't just focus on this one day. Learn where to capture the best images, based on month and season, as well as time of day and location-information you can use time and time again. Best of all, you'll have the rest of the day to photograph the beauty of Kiawah- alligators, dolphins, sea grass in bloom, marsh and amazing expanses of beach are just some of the sights you can see. Weather permitting; you'll end with a gorgeous sunset shoot. This course is a dream you will never forget!

Look Mom, No Wires! Off Camera Extravaganza! Hot Rods at Hot Rod City!

Take a walk through downtown Laurens, South Carolina as you spend the day shooting historic buildings and vintage cars! Without wires or electricity, you’ll work with off-camera flash to capture these artistic images.

Start the day with Instructor Mike Cole in his studio as you cover OCF and what it can do for your photos. Then put it all to practice as you step in historic alleyways, visit the Old Courthouse, a 1950’s theater and more. There’ll be models, a Harley Davidson bike and even some hotrod cars. After enjoying lunch at Roma’s on the town square, head over to Nostalgic Station – a restored gas station – for some impressive scenery.
 
This is a day filled with great information and an education in a hometown setting that can’t be beat!
