In this class, learn tips and tricks that can help you get started or perfect your work in this niche. Terri and Robert will show you their favorite poses and lighting techniques as you experience a live, hands-on shoot. Next, examine their workflow as you watch images move from RAW to client ready.

- LIGHT is the key to everything visual.
As a photographer, you need to XPerience LIGHT by understanding, controlling and practicing the ART of SEEING. In this class, Robert and Terri walk you through the 5 characteristics of every light that photographers must consider. Once you know these, you will be able to control each scene to create stunning images.
Lighting tools come in many different shapes and sizes, from tiny flashlights to big powerful studio strobe packs. What you carry in the camera bag will define how much command you have over light. You'll discover the versatility of small flash units, learn the 3 modifiers you should always have on you.
Upon covering seeing and modifying light, you'll hit the streets to practice light building skills.
On location in downtown Oklahoma City, you'll shoot portfolio images at three real world lighting scenarios - with models and combining everyone's gear in building the image.
This hands-on class is open to everyone, but basic understanding of your camera controls and exposure are required to stay on schedule. Robert & Terri will be available to help registered participants prior to class date, and contact them with any questions. Detailed schedule of events will be available a week prior.

Direct the Pose: Lights, Action, Play!

When you think about posing, does your stomach flutter and your creative juices freeze? Never fear! After this class, you won't be a Poser, you'll be a Director, managing your shoots and handling your subjects with the ease of Scorcese or Spielberg.
Over the course of the day, you'll work on the art of taking charge and quickly directing your clients into flattering poses so you can assess and create the light you need. You'll examine the different reasons and ways to use on-and off-camera flash, bounce or reflective lighting and much, much more.
Instructor Mandy will take the class on a short field trip weather permitting) to selected locations as you discuss each setting to learn about what works, what doesn't and what to use. You will learn how to think quickly, creatively and outside of the box – then you will practice all this new knowledge on live models.
Finally, time permitting, you'll discuss Photoshop® and Lightroom® techniques and work on images together. This day is so action-packed that Mandy will provide food and drinks in lieu of a lunch break. So, plan on working, eating, learning and most of all, having fun as Mandy pulls the inner Director out!
