With Mona Kay Sadler, M.Photog.

You know all that cool equipment you bought that's getting dusty? Well, now's the time to break it all out as Mona and Adrian teach you how to use it.
Working in an outdoor setting (or studio if it's a rainy day), you'll learn to light small items in the harsh conditions of sun, shade, wind and water reflections. You'll discover what to do with that equipment you haven't gotten around to using and new ways to work with what you have.
Whether you're lighting a senior or a seashell, this course will show you what to use and how to get the most out of it.
Course Date: May 14, 2013
Course Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Items to Bring: flashes, reflectors, camera, remotes, extra batters, light stands, sandbags and any other equipment used to light an item in full sun, shade or defused light. The course objective is to teach you how to use this equipment to its fullest potential

Anyone can talk about lighting, but in this class, you'll get hands-on experience in all facets of lighting – and work as a team to reproduce what you learn. You'll discuss the 6 main lighting positions, walk through lighting styles and ratios and explore how to meter for layered and non-layered lighting. Experiment with reflectors and barn doors to create up to 5-light setups.
Spend about ¾ of the class discussing and learning about light and theory; then jump to the hands-on portion where you'll put the concepts to work. Once you leave this Super Monday class, you'll have the knowledge you need to create CPP-worthy images!

When in school, did you ever pull one of those late night cram sessions, filled with too much caffeine, junk food and no sleep? Relax – this course is a much more refined – and productive – exam cram!
This crash course will cover the information that you have to know to pass the new version of the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) exam. Even seasoned photographers can appreciate this class, as it's a great review of concepts, formulas and techniques that photographers use daily.
Cover key topics critical to the CPP - lighting ratios, inverse square law, equivalent exposure, guide numbers and tons of technical info. Additionally, you'll practice lighting ratios and set-ups with a live model to create short and broad lighting, high and low key images, and give you that confidence you need for the CPP exam.
This Exam Cram is that one last checkpoint you want before the exam – you'll sleep easier knowing you've done this!
