Equine photography can be a daunting task if you've never done it before. This Super 1 Day class is a great way to gain knowledge and confidence so you can add this niche to your portfolio!

Designed to help build your confidence in photographing horses and people, you'll get real life experience with human and equine models in a stable-type setting. Learn how to do head and shoulder shots, full length portraits and other poses. Discuss how and why you vary the poses based on breed and discipline of horse. Explore the different lens and lighting equipment you need for various settings.  

You'll also learn safety tips for photographers during equine shoots, as well as how to work with and guide your clients and their horses during the portrait sessions.    

Stop horsing around and learn what you need to be THE equine photographer in your town!

In portraiture, it all comes back to lighting and posing. Whether you're just starting out or needing to refresh your skills, this workshop works for you!  

Breaking it down for all levels of photographers, Pete Rezac and Sue Halliburton will cover short lighting, broad lighting and everything in between. Learn how to manage and control your equipment to obtain the results you want. Examine high-key, low-key, and mid-key lighting, and the importance of choosing the right background for each subject. Explore lighting techniques from someone else's perspective and see how they can work for you.

You'll also discuss posing, ranging from masculine to feminine poses. Discover how the right poses can compensate for body differences, and make even the hard-to-photograph subjects look dazzling!   

Lighting and posing are the tools of the trade that no photographer can be without – perfect them!
