About Julia:

Portrait photographer Julia Kelleher, CPP, AFP-O, is a PPA Gold Photographer of the Year and Silver Medalist who specializes in newborn and family portraits out of her boutique studio in Bend, OR.  She offers her clients a photographic style that is elegant, natural and artistic, and she specializes in creating heirloom wall series and albums. Also a specialist in sales and ProSelect presentation software, Julia helps photographers and their employees maximize their potential in the sales room without pushing a "hard sell."

Picking up her first 35mm camera at age 14, she put it down after college to pursue a love of broadcast journalism. She spent 11 years traveling the country covering general assignment stories for all three television networks. After working at KATU-TV, Portland's ABC affiliate, for six years as an on-air anchor/reporter, she left television news to pursue photography full time. Her experiences with the news industry, media relations and public communications have given her the techniques to help other photographers understand and communicate effectively with their clients and get the promotional word out about their businesses to the community.
