Complimentary Pass to Imaging?

I recieved a receipt via email for a pass to Imageing 2011. It has the price listed for a buddy pass at $219. Then it has a discount of $219, with the total due of $0. I can't figure out why I got it. Does this mean I can go to imaging for free?

Did you recently join? If you are a very new first time PPA member, was pass part of the deal? Otherwise, I would be very cautious. Call member services to verify.

No, I did not recently join... I have been a member for a couple years. I'll contact member services to see what this is about.

Been to ImagingUSA before? Not positive, but it could be an offer to attend as a first time. Again, I have no clue...

Something is amiss: just sending an email receipt is not what they do.
I did not get the receipt till after I registered!

Ok, I found out what it is from! I attended one of the PPA on Tour Workshops, and I filled out the survey afterwards. My name was drawn from those who filled out the survey to win an Imaging Pass! Cool!

Or you can "sell" the other pass, as if two were splitting!

Kari, that's awesome! I just realized that I have moved into your neck of the woods. Where in GR are you? It would be great to get together with some fellow photographers. We just moved 3 weeks ago, so I haven't started the business back up, other than previous clients that I will be doing this summer. I'm thinking I might not really start taking too many clients until I get my 5 year old settled into Kindergarten in the fall. Let's talk sometime!

Sorry, I just came back to this message... I didn't see your post! My studio is in Grandville, on the corner of Chicago Drive and Wilson. I am also a member of our local affiliate group... PPWM. We'd love to have you come check us out too! We usually meet the 3rd monday of every month, but we have July off, and August is a social event at the President's house. I am also meeting with a group right now that is studying for the CPP test. Let me know if you want to get together some time!
