Default Would like a few critiques before submitting for CPP.

I know it is a little difficult for those out there to critique on the forum, but if anyone is willing, I will be open to sharing. I don't want to run the risk of one of the panel seeing my images before hand, so if you are interested, PM me or suggest how I should post. Thanks!

It has not been problematic to post them here. But if you feel safer providing a link to a gallery, that works too, and has the added advantage of being able to be posted at the size you'll be uploading to the site.

Tried loading images onto the galleries section here, says I have 12 photos but there are no photos there. My name isn't even in the section of galleries.

To get images into the galleries here you submit them and after they are reviewed for propriety they are put in the gallery by the administrators. Don't ask why; it just is. Which is why the galleries here are rarely used, but at least that cuts down on the server storage requirements.

Mary, there's a lot of agreeable stuff on your CPP galleries, and more than enough to make your image submission entry. Just remember to only submit one image per client - I noticed the baby in the cowboy hat in another image, and the B&W maternity shots are the same client. The ninth image, the baby, looks funny, like he has a massive monobrow... imho.

For the wedding images, they look great - I'd be hesitant to submit the dark ones, shots 13, 15 and 17- although it's likely that we cannot see the true depth of the shadow detail on the website.

Wedding shot 10 is a nice silhouette but I'd have the couple further to the right so we can see the groom's entire head silhouetted... it may appear that the colors are pouring out from the top of his head.

Wedding shots 2, 3 and 8 appear to be slightly tilted to the right - not enough tilt to be artistic, but enough to be distracting... and easily fixed with cropping.

The commercial stuff looks great, although the gambler's white cuff over the blurred cards on the table made his cuff look funny. Wow, how did you get a camera in a gambling casino?

I'm no judge, yet you'd likely be accepted with these. The studio stuff shows a great understanding of strobe lighting, although I'd just show one set of catch lights. You should do great!

Thanks Phillip. I might just take the wedding with the stained glass & the one with the baby that you mentioned. I never notice this before, but you are right, the brows look like one..and large at that. I am limited to twenty images it is so hard to choose!

It looks like you have at least three wedding images from the same client, which is a no no... Your children stuff looks great, except for a few tight croppings. And berating people for not replying to your thread is a sure way to get no replies...
