Noticed, I said "IF" I were do decide to try to make this one work to submit.... Should I crop out the trash can in the top right corner, and what color background would you put it on?

I didn't notice the trash can before, I was too distracted by the girl's black leggings!
You definitely want to crop out the trash can and all the fencing around it. Crop the print to just below all that "garbage". You can't go wrong with a black border, it makes most pictures "pop". A medium gray would be another option. Avoid white as you never want a border lighter than the image. The judges eyes will go to the lightest thing first and you don't want that to be your border. Put a pink highlight line around the image to seperate it.
