Competition Results
Our state convention ended today..I entered 2 prints, and a folio of a h.s. senior girl session. This was my very first print competition.
Don Chick was a judge, so I made it a point to seek him out at the print show and he critiqued my entries. I didn't watch the actual judging because there were seminars that I really wanted to see. Next year I am going to volunteer for print committee so I can see and be a part of it.
Result: The folio received a 78. The main 'faults' - not enough variety of expressions and lighting issues (it was a beach session and I knew there were lighting issues, but I just wanted to enter something portrait-related.)
Dew Point - 78

.
Exotic Beauty - 81 (it was apparently challenged - a 79 was crossed out!
)

Thanks to all who offered critiques and suggestions! I wouldn't have entered if it wasn't for the support at this forum. And I wouldn't have done as well without all your help. I can't wait to enter again!Cassandra Sullivan, CPP

Way to go! Work up 2 more and send them on to national.
Keith
PS you do not need to send 4 to national but it cost the same so why not.Last edited by Keith_A_Howe; 02-27-2007 at 02:24 AM. Reason: clarification
