International Print Competition
Hi Everyone,
I am wondering, since I've not entered prints into Nationals before, when people send them. What method do you use to send your print case, UPS, Fedex, USPS?
Thanks,
Robin

I use UPS Ground. I would not think US mail would be cost effective and you want to be able to insure the prints and track the package.

Robin Send them when you have them ready. Print chairman like to get as many in early as possible as there is less last min work. In reality I send mine in usually at the last min. as long as UPS 3 day gets them there in time. Some times I send them 2nd day air and hopefully never red label because of the shipping cost. It is like here on the forum, I see all these people getting images ready and I have yet to even think about which images I want to enter myself yet. I have been known to hand carry my case. I AM NOT A PROCRASTINATOR! ok maybe I am a bit.

Thanks Keith,
I already have prints selected from our State print competition (KPPA). I'll plan ahead and try getting them sent out early.

The post office will lose it. Even express mail disappears.
UPS has decided to charge me extra for sendning a case which is not in a cardboard box! Although it is the same case they have been handleing for over 15 years, all of a sudden it "should" have been in a box so it costs more.(?) And they got nasty about it, claiming all those other years of no extra charge were a mistake I got away with. (These are the same people who often delivered 16x20 boxes with a size 12 boot print in the center.) The route drivers however have always been very nice people.
I now use Fedex ground. It is the least expensive, it is tracked, and it is not destroyed. (so far).
