Suggested Reading for Certification
Ok, so I think I said I would share some of my thoughts from the books I read while preparing for Certification. ...ta da! I've put my mini "reviews" of each book on this blog -- http://learnwithbetsy.com/certification
I figured it would be easier to put them all in one place
-- and this way, as I read more books for other purposes, I can add reviews/summaries of them here as well. The ones recommended specifically for certification purposes are tagged "CPP"
So enjoy

Wow. Great. It's like having Clef (sp?) Notes. I have a couple of these books and have yet to sit down and read them. Maybe I'll do it when hubby and the kids go camping for a week next month.
Thanks Betsy.

No problem! I was writing them down for myself so I'd remember what they were about (once you read through a certain number of books, it can be hard to remember which one you're thinking of!).

What are some other certificates available for Photog's?
Hey,
Curious to find out the other titles for photographers in terms of being certified and is PPA one of them or not?

Hi Angel, welcome to OurPPA!
Here are some resources:
Certification
PPA's Education Page
-- there is a Certificate of Business management
PPA's Merits & Degrees Page
-- you can earn a variet of degrees -- M.Photog.; M.Artist; MEI; Cr.Photog.
-- Currently, you must become certified before you can earn a degree.
PPA is just an acronym for Professional Photographers of America, it's not really something you put after your name as a title. As a member, you would get a discount on the application fee for certification, as well as the ability to earn merits towards the degrees mentioned.
Does that help?

Betsy,
Thanks for the write up, particularly the Rangefinder link. I just ordered Don Blair's book from them.
