Wifi in the convention center?

Is there wifi in the WCC? I want to bring a laptop, but need wifi in the convention center.

I was wondering the same thing. This is from the convention center web site.
From the sounds of it this may not be free, they ask for billing info.

Wireless Internet Zone
Laptop and PDA users will find no trouble accessing the Internet at the Georgia World Congress Center thanks to a wireless network installed throughout the facility. Wireless Internet Zones are located in the common areas of the convention center, including all restaurants and eateries. To utilize wireless Internet:
Connect to the GWCCWIFI network.
Launch the browser. It will automatically be redirected to a registration page.
Select one of the "Quick Connect" options.
Complete the name, address and billing information through the Verisign secured check-out page.

There is free wifi in all classrooms and in the Millers Internet lounge, according to the IUSA folks.

As Mark points out there are some free options, so we should have no problem getting connected.

Samantha, all convention centers charge for wifi. Nothing is free. Sometimes the convention picks it up, sometimes the attendees have to pick it up, sometimes it is built into the rental, but it is never free.

I'm just glad I have internet on my phone. I'd much prefer to use the ipad to see better, but it's better than nothing.

If you have a data plan that is unlimited, you can tether your laptop or tablet to your phone with a USB cable, and use that connection.

Mark, can you tell me How I can tether my droidx to my laptop? Or where I can learn how? I use to be able to do this with my old Motorola razor but that was with Verizon software I had installed. I never could get it to work with my new phone. Thanks, Robin
