Titling help please
I have been going back and forth on a title for this image. I had originally title it, "Single and Waiting" but it was suggested to me that I should tie the title into the by referencing the wording on the wall. Now I am batting around the idea of, "Adventure Peddler". Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions appreciated!

Re: Titling help please
This image reminds me of an image from the Loan Collection about 3 years ago of two bicycles parked outside in front of an old church. I don't remember the title, but I do remember that it made reference to the people who were inside of the church instead of the bicycles themselves and the title helped to sell the story.

Re: Titling help please
I was thinking that by using a play on words with "Adventure Peddler" that "Peddler" could refer to either be the bike, the person riding the bike or the person selling the safari's/souvenirs.
All that being said, perhaps I am making the jurors work too hard to get it. I tend to overcomplicate things in general. LOL

Re: Titling help please
You have to decide what is the message you want to relate with the image. Sometimes, you need to spell it out to the jury so they understand the meaning - BUT - sometimes, just suggesting a hint of a story to a panel of jurors works better - it all depends on the image and the story.
Single and waiting makes me think about the owner of the bicycle who is waiting inside the building for someone.
Adventure peddler makes me think about the bicycle itself.
Two different stories - two different feelings.Last edited by Rick_Massarini; 03-05-2012 at 04:45 PM.

Re: Titling help please
Since it's a bicycle you could always tie it into the cost of gasoline - maybe "Five dollar a gallon alternative"...
... pretty soon, we'll all be riding one...Last edited by Rick_Massarini; 03-05-2012 at 05:33 PM.
