Please critique
I am just starting the process but I know I am terrible at "seeing" my own images. I need honest (and constructive) opinions please.
A couple of these have the same subject but I am just trying to figure out if I am even close...or if I need to wait a year before trying.
Would you:
loose them all?
tweak them?
sell camera and run?
Thanks for your time in advance.

Re: Please critique
Amy,
Looking at it as a body of work I would say you have a very strong portfolio. I see a few issues that are easy to fix such as the groom it the doorway that could use to be straightened and it appears as though you've used 2 images of the same girl. All are very easy fixes. Waiting another year would be a waste of your time. I'd say go for it.Greg Yager CPP

Re: Please critique
Nice body of work - baby and wedding stuff is great.
However, I would take out:
#12 - bride is cute but first thing I saw was the bridesmaid's 'backside' and it's not flattering
#18 - looks like there's a sunspot on her head
#17 - sun flare is cool but I'd leave it out of a CPP image reviewCassandra Sullivan, CPP

I also feel like #11 has competing prints.

Re: Please critique
Baby in the basket has way too much competition with the different patterns. The eye literally does not know where to go... The last baby has very flat lighting. I would take the advice above and reconsider these two as well...

Re: Please critique
Amy,
You are close, but there are a few that need to be replaced. Particularly the ones mentioned above, but there are also a few that look flat more than directional. I am not saying that all of these images would not pass, but this is what I picked out of the ones you posted and what I noticed...
#3 (I notice her arm more than anything else - lighting)
#6 (lighting seems flat)
#11 (baby in basket, for reasons stated)
#12 (for reasons stated, plus lighting)
#14 (couple, I think this concept is cute, but with all elements combined, lighting-background-it's hard to focus on what the subject is)
#16 (seems flat, cute image though!)
#17 (background, lighting, posing)
#18 (lighting- sun spot, posing - seems like a bigger girl, could be more flattering with different posing, even at this crop)
#19 (lighting seems flat)
I would suggest that for the wedding images, you put in images where you had control over the situation rather than candids, they will showcase your knowledge better than grabbing the moment candids.Jackie Haggerty

I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you're going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.
