I want to attend a multi-day workshop with an expert --- Don Chick's or time with Keith Howe would be awesome but the current locations require too much travel time and expense.

Can anyone recommend a great workshop for hands-on studio and location lighting? I remember seeing something about a cruise last year that was for women photographers?

    Any recommendations? Thanks!

All depends...what's your budget and how far you want to travel?

I have always believed that if you want to learn from the experts then sometimes you have to be willing to do some traveling. If that's not an option then there are plenty of good schools on the east coast. I think east coast school is in August in North Carolina if my memory serves me correctly.

I've gone to Michigan's GLIP school for three years now. Good experience, good education, and fun too. If you like, take a peek at this "article" I wrote about GLIP. Maybe you'll look into another school closer to you, but the general purpose of the school will probably be similar.

Not all that far a drive from you is the East Coast School, this year in Durham, NC, about the first or second week in Aug.
