Why is there a NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW meta on this whole site?

We use the meta tag <meta name="ROBOTS" content="NOINDEX,NOFOLLOW"> on ourppa.com so that search engine robots will not index (NOINDEX) or follow (NOFOLLOW) the links on any of these pages. This ensures that anything you say on ourppa.com cannot be found by somebody surfing on Google by typing in your name.

NOINDEX This ensures that anything you say on ourppa.com cannot be found by somebody surfing.....This much I understand

However this does not explain the NOFOLLOW why is this tag included?

the NOFOLLOW tag tells the search engines not to follow any links in this forum, so that it will only hit the first page and not go any deeper, just another part of the NOINDEX tag.

Yes I understand the NOFOLLOW tags purpose but not reasoning behind why is this tag being used?

It keeps us from having to put the NOINDEX tag on each and every thread in the forum.

what is this

It is an HTML tag that we put onto ourppa.com so that search engines will not index or follow any links on ourppa.com to keep from your potential clients typing in your name in Google and being able to see everything that you say. It also keeps spiders from scanning through ourppa.com and stealing e-mail addresses so that you won't get spammed.
