View Full Version : Need title for critique

Liz has twisted my arm and forced me to enter 4 prints for critique tomorrow, and I'm stumped on a name for this one. Right now it's "Growing Love", but it was taken at a vineyard, so I'd really like something more wine-related. Any ideas? Also, comments on the background?

Love bears all things. :)

also, do you find the neon white leaf in the bkgd distracting?

Hi Stephanie;

I am leaning towards "We Will Grow Old Together". I have to say that I can't see the panel "getting" that these are grapes on the vine. Are these still green and before they ripen ? I would lean towards simply the aspect of growing and not about grapes.

I don't care for your matte color. I'd use the purple color from the rings ... just a bit deeper. Then I'd use a sample of the light purple for the accent line. I would also make a horizontal presentation. I would take the saturation down on the hot yellow in the background and use guassian blur on the background.

Here is how I see you entering it.

Craig I like the crop much better on that! I was having trouble with the background, and I think that fixes a lot of it. Not necessarily sold on the mat color, but still thinking. I do like the title!

Hi Stephanie;

After you sent me a private message asking why I picked that color matte, and after I wrote back an answer, here is my version II which I like even better.
