I would love to try entering some prints in competition. Where can I find when and where competitions are being held? Are they certain times of the year?
Thanks much!

are you a member of your state association?? I can't see where you are from. Most states have a judging and the regional will be an affiliated judging. Contact them for a list of dates or look up the websites for them( associations). The PPA international competition deadline is in June. You can go to PPA.com under competitions for the rules etc.
Good Luck Keith

Hi Cheryl;

Here, in Pennsylvania, our annual print competition will be on Sunday April 22nd. Our convention runs from April 22nd through the 25th. Each state is different. We do allow out of state non-members to enter the competition.

There is a sub-state group north of me in the Pokonos. They have 3 meetings a year and have print competition at all three.

I suggest that you join your state association, and compete at that level, to "get your feet wet".

Please post where you are so others can tell you what is available near you.

Your regional would be Heart Of America which is right now. I believe that Dave Swoboda is on the MO board of directors. You can contact Mark Weber - he works at Ramsey resources in St Louis, I know that he can put in touch with any local, state and regional associations around you. Good Luck keith

APPI has a Southern Illinois group that may not be too far from you. You will need to contact APPI to get the info. http://www.appillinois.org/ My understanding is that they travel around to different towns so you may be able to find a meeting with min. travel.
