Jennifer,
There is a nice sense of light in these images. I like the first andthird better than the middle. It appears to have a fill flash, and just doesn't seem natural to me. On the couple this image would have a lot more impact if the bride had her eyes closed, and his nose was on her cheek. I realize you can't reshoot this, but I am slightly bothered by her looking right at the camera. Maybe it's just me. When making formals like this consider shooting a couple of differnt expressions as they can look very cool in the album when placed in sucession. I like the beach one as well. Maybe there is too much space between them? I will look again and try to come up with more.

Jeff - I understand what you are talking about on the bride and grrom. Maybe the title would explain why she is looking at camera "Nah Nah Na Nah Na He is Mine!" or "Got Him!"

I did a little playing, I hope there is more room on the orginal file of the 2 kids. I like the image but I think it would do better in competition if they were a bit smaller with a bit more space around them. Here is my take on the image, I added sky, space to left and right and a bit of cloud in the sky to give balance and leading line to the kids.

The little girl bothers me a bit, I changed the color ballance, catchlights and contast a little. The color balance has some crossover problems that I could not get rid of entirely. The difference in the skintones from the girl to the brides hand does both me a bit. Yes I know that different people have different skin tones. To me this is a maybe image, deffinately an above average image but I would have to see the final image to say if I could go merit.

On the bride and groom, have her throw her head back laughing would have been better but I agree that the title can sell this image. I toned down the highlights in thebackground and toned down the path. Then I did a very quick (too quick) selection around the couple and bushes on thier plain and did a lens blur. Next I just lessened the area to the background and lens blur again. I also did lens blur on the forground. Then I brought out the natural highlights on her face and the dress and veil.

Good Luck Keith

Jennifer - if you go back to where you firsdt posted these images as smaller size and I commented there - this was just what I was talking about. Obviously I've taught Keith everything he knows! Only I would stretch it even further and make it even more of a slim line.

Yes- I do have more space in the original image of the kids. I'll rework that one. I like the redo on the girls eyes also.

Thanks for all your help. Excellent points!
