Diane, Katie, Lori & Linda spent the first few days with Jackie. They spent they spent Tuesday with me and by that time were kinda worn out from all the partying. So they were pretty well behaved. Here'[s our trip through the trade show.

All work and no play makes for dull girls - so we ventured outside.

It only took one day for the girls to get sick of Keith & Holly . . .

http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p308/imager410/forum.jpg

We finally took pity on them and sent them home.

Yeah - they had all the wildnessworked out of them by the time they started hanging out with me. Jeff has the ones from when we took them out for dinner and they all ended up with lime peel helmets. And I don't think we can post the table dancing shots here - we'd get kicked off the forum.

OMG these pics are great! We really did have a good time didn't we? Did me and Diane EVER have our clothes on???

I love them - you guys went out of your way to show us a good time! Did the people at the trade show think you were crazy or what??

OMG! I missed the fun!

Well, think any of them will return to the Nebraska seminar next week?

Hi Linda;

If you had been one of them, since you are in Kansas, to leave you could have just clicked your heels together 3 times and chanted "there's no place like home". *S*

Ah, unfortunately, I now live in Kansas but am a born and bred Iowan (with Missouri ancestors) and am (I hope) affectionately referred to as being from Idiot Out Walking Around

And we're pretty grounded.

Hi Linda;

So that means you are not allowed to do a Dorothy Gayle thing with red ruby slippers. *S* Me, I'm just an old Pa. Dutchman from Pa. (never thought I had much of a Pa. Dutch accent till I went in the Air Force and they kept asking "what did you say" ? LOL) I did drove through the mid-west when I came home. All I can say is that it's very flat. I would like to someday visit the Field of Dreams. But I don't need to travel out that way to seem crops ... my town is surrounded by lots of farms and we get farm perfume on the breezes fairly often. And corn ... miles and miles of corn in every direction.

Linda_Gregory
01-20-2007, 02:52 PM
Ah, define flat. No mountains here but there are plenty of rolling hills. I grew up on the banks of the Mississippi, complete with high bluffs that the indians took advantage of for shooting into forts built by stupid guys on the river's edge. There were some farther north great for skiing but ours were best for sledding.

Kansas has the Flint Hills and Gyp hills, neither of which are very high but both sets are wonderfully UNflat. There's also the wonderfully wierd sight of the Monument Rocks in western Kansas where harder rocks jut up from the surrounding chalky ground

Well, so much for hijacking this thread...although I love the MidWest, it's time to get out! Am headed to Cologne, Germany in May for a wedding and then we're skipping over to Prague for 8 days before heading back home. WOO!

Linda - don't you need a personal image maker to help with capturing you in all those wonderfull scenes. I could even present you with a bound album commerating your adventures abroad. I could even do it PJ style, you wouldn't even know I was there acept for when you, ah pick up the tab and such.
Hope you have lots of fun! Keith

Keith and anyone else that'd like to go....we'd LOVE to have you. The bride and groom speak great English but not many others and of course, they're going to be a bit busy to have good conversations.

Shall I take the 'girls' with me and maybe find some representatives of the guys? This could be as big as the European traveling Gnome.

Guten Tag Linda; Wie Gehts ? Du Bist Schone ! (did I butter you up enough yet ? *S*) I'd love to visit Der Deutschland ... I could try to find people with my last name or my Mom's maiden name of Aumen or her Mom's maiden name of Shenk. Just remember this Linda, if you get separated from your husband, Beer in Deutsch is pronounced the same way but spelled Bier. (very important to know) LOL

Funny, funny funny! My husband learned German while in the army there (taught it to new recruits) and honed it when working with American beer importers (how you say, more please, of that one?)

My second trip to Germany, we were in Hamburg, visiting friends and I was bravely going to walk up to the McSnack to get us some beverages. They coached me, I went up and asked for 'drei klene Cokes, bitte shone.' only to have the guy say, "Very Good!" and give me zwei.

Translation:
Three small Cokes, please. Two!

Betsy is the blonde (you were traveling incognito - hence the blonde wig) in the orange dress. You are riding on the gosling in the prop booth.

As far as transportation home - Hey! I packed snacks in the box. Quit gripping or I'll cover up the airholes.

Ask Jackie - she decided who was who. I jsut followed her orders - take 'em to the trade show.

Airholes? We don't need no stinkin' airholes!

Considering you've all been eating Tex-Mex - you know refried beans - burritos etc - the whole convention, I think you might want those air holes. Just a suggestion.
