Oh my gosh, I was wondering about you! That is so awesome! Congratulations! I would've done the happy dance too so I totally understand. I hope I'm able to do the happy dance sometime in the next year:)

Robin,

Congratulations! The next step is promotion. When I got my CPP I did a press release with the local paper, scheduled a Chamber of Commerce after hours coffee, had a CPP cake made up and ran a special for business head shots. The event drew about 50 of our local business owners to our studio and tours were provided. Of course business cards / magnets were passed out as well as the discount certificate for head shots and other brochures as inquiries happened.

Again congratulations!

BTW: Do you have a camera laying about somewhere? .... an avatar for your profile here would nice. :)

That is a great idea, Vance! I would've never thought of a Chamber of Commerce after hours event.

Thanks everyone!
Vance, I am working on the press release and the chamber will be next! Yes, I think I have an old camera laying around here some place so I will work on that avatar, lol.

I am still so excited I can't come down to earth yet!!

I'm so happy to hear this! It was quite a road, but it made you a better, more thoughtful photographer. The next time that you find yourself in a challenging situation, remember that you know what to do. Address the issues, and create pro work. Way to go!

Thx Mark! Do you know what ever happen to the Certify with Sandy initiative? Did they ever reach 1000? This was what really got me started down this road.

Last I knew the website had been hacked and the only way to solve the issue was to update the software, for which no one was motivated to foot the bill. So I think it died a quiet death. I don't think we reached 1000, but it was an is a worthwhile initiative, and I know we helped improve a bunch of photographers' work.

Did Sandy get certified? I don't see it on her PPA listing.

You know I thought she already was? Hmmm

She was already certified. She was up for recertification and decided to go through the test again in solidarity with those that were coming through the process the first time.
