View Full Version : Florida Judging

Question for the old timers.
I have a chance to go to Florida to judge PO and EI.
Helen Yancy was telling me last May at Judging School that PPA doesn't recognize judge evaluations from Florida due to the format they use.
But my contact at Florida says they do.
So which is it? Do Florida Evals count or don't they?

What is the difference in the format? Who is going to be judging on the panel with you? I'll have to go back and look into it since I thought that for a judging evaluation to be acceptable, it just had to come from a PEC approved juror and the judging just had to be handled in the same format as is used at the regional/district judgings.

I don't know.
Al's telling me they have affiliates on the panel, but didn't share how many.
I just need to give him a commitment ASAP.
Have you heard anything about PPA not accepting Florida evals?

This is the first I've heard of it, but then again, I'm not on the PEC either. I just work for them at the IPC.

Sent two emails to Dennis Craft. Haven't heard back yet.

You might call Randy McNeilly - he's the current PEC Chair.

Quick question Rick.
Do we have 2 years or 3 years to finish our evaluations?

I'm not sure about the time - that's another question for Randy.

Mark - I'll send you an email - I did some digging and found a pdf that might have all the answers. Let me know if/when you get it.

Mark, We have 3 years to complete our evaluations. It is in our book we got at school.
