Arts District Columbus, here we come!!!

We're throwing this out to you...My wife has done tons of research and has found the PERFECT venue for a small workshop. This will be QUITE different from my previous studio portrait lighting workshops. This will be finding the light for ENVIRONMENTAL indoor (very elegant setting) portraits as well as finding the light outdoors in environmental residential, urban and park like settings

It would be Wednesday pm, Thursday, Friday and Sat a.m. The venue she has selected is a GORGEOUS B&B in the arts district of Columbus. The dates are Wens Aug 15th - Sat Aug 18th.

We're looking at a Workshop price of $300 which will include a PPA merit.
On site lodging will include private bath and full breakfast. Some rooms are available for $151/nt which includes double occupancy AND tax. A few rooms are available which can include a third person (twin bed) for $174 (includes tax).

We do not get any break on the room rate, but it does NOT look like you will be disappointed. The facility is PHENOMENAL and the location is a photographer's dream.

The registration for this event will be VERY limited and preference will be given to those lodging on site. Sorry, but it DOES have to on a first come, first served basis.

Sandy has to know ASAP who is coming. Please email her at info@chickphotography.net and reference the Columbus Workshop_August 2012. To confirm your spot, you will need to reserve your room directly w/ the Inn (Sandy will provide you w/ that information) and you will also pay a $100 deposit on the workshop tuition.

This is going to be AWESOME!!!

Send your friends, Amy...Sandy thought this would make a great "girls week away" kind of an outing.

Sandy wants to know if the lodging price is a deterring factor here. Is the idea good? What is a reasonable amount to spend on the lodging portion? There are some other locations that are less expensive, but are removed from the "happening" Arts District. Her idea behind a BnB workshop it is to keep it small but in an elegant setting. She thought it would be a fun get away and a drastic change as far as workshops go. Most low budget hotels are "sterile" looking and don't offer the quaint ambiance that she is looking for.
