This is my first entry for district competition. I don't know if the double mat is too boring but I don't want to take away from the image. Should I just do a keyline?
Advice?
Thanks!

I don't find the double mat to be boring at all. I think it makes it look classic :)

I love this. Matting is beautiful too.

Are you entering digitally? For print comp, I have always preferred full frame. I want to be judged on my image, I hate it when judges knock off points for the wrong key line color or wrong mat.

Yes, I'm entering digitally. I was under the impression that even if you enter digitally, you need to have some sort of presentation. Is that not true? Can I just enter the image by itself?
Thanks.

I've seen entries without mats both printed and digitally. But you may want to read the rules to be sure.

You do not need to add a digital mat to the image, but in many cases it does help the image. Presentation is one of the 12 Elements of a Merit Print, so how it is presented does matter. You can certainly enter the image as "full bleed" if you feel that is the strongest presentation for that image.
